We provide precise, conservation quality work that will last for decades. Our style is to find the balance between a frame that is a work of art in itself and one that enhances rather than distracts from the work within its borders. 

Our focus as a shop is in creative projects and high quality, archival techniques. That means we love working with art of all types (paintings (oils, acrylics, canvas), works on paper, textiles, photography, mirrors, and objects with shadow boxes while making sure we create a safe environment for their preservation. We also love framing commemorative items like diplomas, posters, postcards, and specialty menus.

We also offer canvas stretching services. We can stretch in a way that you can plan to hang the canvas on the wall directly or put a frame on the stretched canvas to create a more finished look. Whether you’re an artist looking to stretch a finished piece or a traveler bringing back a beautiful, hand painted rolled canvas that remind you of your adventures, we can work with a variety of sizes and depths to make your vision a reality!

What to expect in working with us:

When you come to our shop, we start with a dialogue to understand your aesthetic and relationship to your piece(s). Once we understand what you’re looking for, using our design expertise and technical knowledge, we collaborate with you to come up with a unique design in your preferred aesthetic that also meets your budgetary needs .

The Design Consultations are meant to be an engaging, creative experience where we create a design you love! Whether it takes 10 minutes or the whole 60 minutes, we are committed to working until we find something that excites you and has you looking forward to seeing the finished piece(s) in your home for years to come.

We use conservation grade materials as our standard because it will preserve the color and materials of your piece for the longest amount of time. So, the colors in your piece will be as vibrant as they are the day we frame them! Conservation materials include 99% UV protective coated glass and acrylic, acid-free mounting and mat board, PH sensitive mounting and sealing tape and backing paper to create a sealed environment for your piece. Properly sealing each frame helps with the highest level of integrity for the piece throughout its lifetime to protect the work from UV damage on the front or damage from humidity on the back.

There are other, non-conservation material options available for budgetary purposes, however, we highly recommend the investment to preserve your treasured piece!

We are conscious of the potentially high ticket price for our customized work, so we also strive to make budget friendly options such as print ready standard sized frames (ranging in size from 4x6 and 5x5 up to 16x20 and 18x24) and in stock material in “as is” condition. Never hesitate to bring that up at the beginning of the design process so we can help find the best options for you.

Framing can provide long lasting protection, preservation, and a unique presentation for a piece of art. When you invest in a piece, it is especially imperative to also invest in its preservation!
